Anime and Manga: Part 3 Hooked

Anime and manga come in all forms. Now imagine kid or preteen watching an anime like Pokemon or Yugioh, then they see the creators name and look it up with the intention of finding more good anime, but instead finding much more graphic adult materials instead. This is a problem that confronts us. As I have said before anime and manga are not evil, they are powerful tools that are used for evil more often than good. Did you know that the hit show Yugioh in Japan had so much adult content that when it entered the US it was almost completely redone and then is now sold to young kids, and now they are selling the uncut Japanese version in America. If you didn't know that little fact you would be shocked when buying what seems like harmless merchandise.

Now you may be thinking that what I just said is terrible and you'd be right. But how bad is that compared to the fact that most of my generation spend more time focased on their electronic devises then their families, and most of the time the families don't care. How come my generation is dying away and hardly anyone is taking notice?

But back to what I was saying. Why don't we use these tools to help transform a nation and save a generation. Manga and Anime are rapidly growing in popularity in America and around the world. In Japan it is the main form of entertainment and is shown all over Asia. We aren't going to be able to stop the progression, so lets offer an alternative. And not a poorly done, profit driven, mainstream turned christian alternative, but a God inspired revolutionary retransformation that is so much better than what the world has to offer.

NEWS / ANNOUNCEMENTS
Skillet's new album “Awake” released yesterday! John Cooper wrote a blog telling his favorite memory from the album recording saying: “Our live violinist, named Jonathan Chu, came to record on a few songs. After he played his parts, he, Korey and Jen were sitting at the lunch table talking about how amazing Lasik eye surgery is… Then someone had the great idea to look it up on YouTube… About 30 seconds later I came back into the room and Jonathan Chu was passed out on the floor and Korey and Jen were freaking out because they thought he was joking! It was NOT a joke. And of course, I started laughing even though it was inappropriate!” More updates and tour dates can be found at Skillet.com.
